SAFE CLINICAL SUPPORT

Safe clinical support

Before nursing begins, we confirm referral information, consent, clinical instructions, medication records, escalation contacts, equipment and documentation requirements. A nurse may recommend further medical review or decline a task that is outside scope or cannot be delivered safely.

9D Care is not an emergency medical service. Call 000 for a life-threatening emergency.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

A nurse completes clinical assessment and tasks within nursing scope. A support worker performs agreed disability-support tasks within their role, training and competency.

No. The service must relate to the participant's disability, meet current NDIS requirements and align with available funding.

We need enough current information to assess the requested nursing service safely. This may include a referral, diagnosis, medication information, discharge summary, wound or continence plan, treating-practitioner instructions and consent to liaise with relevant professionals.

A suitably qualified nurse may provide task-specific education, competency support and clinical guidance where this is appropriate, funded and within professional scope.

Yes, subject to the clinical task, location, funding, required equipment, infection-control needs and nursing capacity. We confirm the setting before accepting the referral.

Call 000 for a life-threatening or time-critical emergency. 9D Care's Community Nursing service is planned care and does not replace emergency or acute medical services.
